Affordable Scrapbooking without the Fuss

I started traditional scrapbooking was I was very young. I actually used to get pieces of 8 1/2 by 10 paper and cut out art from magazines and glue it to my paper and place it into three ring binders. I used to just love doing that at my Grandma’s house. I was too young to have a camera so I just made do with photographs in magazines and even newspapers. I actually still have them. I would sit for hours cutting and pasting. It was great. Then when I got my camera, watch out, I was obsessed with talking photos and doing all kinds of things with them. I even had a little printer that I could just print away with my camera cards. When I first received my first scrapbooking supplies I thought it was the greatest thing since slice bread. I would scrapbook for hours and get one page done! I was so excited. Then as my addiction grew my money and my space did not. I would always say, that scrapbooking will always be something that I will make time to do because it was so important to me. Then I got married and a couple kids came and there was just no way I was going to get back in that world again. There was no time, no money. It just never got done. Then Heritage Makers came into my life, heritage makers is and online scrapbooking company. It allows you to scrapbook on the computer. I know what you are thinking. There is something to be said about the touching and the feeling. I get that! Some of you might be thinking, I am on the computer all day at work. Why OH why! Do I want to get back on there, when you are lost in a project like baby’s first year and you are looking at photos and pretty papers you forget all about the computer and you are lost in your work. I promise. I love Digital scrapbooking and you will too.

Grandma’s Book

Grandma's 80th BirthdayYea, I am so excited. I have been working on my grandmother’s book for months. Gathering pictures, proofing editing and interviewing. It is Over. Her Surprise Birthday is over and I was able to give her the book. She was so taken by the book she had to sit down. It has been days and she is still thanking me. However, what she doesn’t realize is that she has given me a gift. The ability to write her story so that I can passed it down to my children. That is the real gift! I also wanted my grandma to know that she was worth writing a story about. I think we accomplished that.

Reunion 2008

Well Reunion 2008 was filled with exciting things:

Reunion was in Anaheim, California right next to Disneyland. You can probably guess what the theme was. It was a fabulous time. It was wonderful bringing my family to the event. My dream is to have Heritage Makers be our family business. It was wonderful to have my husband their to share the success of how for this company has come and how far my personal business has. It is important to me that a family share their hopes and dreams together. This event did that for us.
